Less than 5% of the total number of students are registered in Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Medicine and Environmental Sciences – 0.2%, 0.7%, 1.3%, 2.4% and 3.5% respectively. The Sciences, Social Sciences, Administration and Management and Education have the greatest number of students with 17%, 16%, 14% and 13% respectively of the total population. Sharp differences are obvious in academic disciplines such as Engineering & Technology (89% male vs 11% female), Environmental Sciences (78% male vs 22% female), Computing (76% male vs 24% female) and Veterinary Medicine (70% male vs 30% female).
