Because of the conflict, some countries have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/statements-releases\/2022\/03\/08\/fact-sheet-united-states-bans-imports-of-russian-oil-liquefied-natural-gas-and-coal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sought alternative<\/a> trade partners. These countries have at least 200tcf (trillion cubic feet) of proved natural gas reserves. 6 of them are in Asia, 1 in North America, 1 in Africa and 1 in South America. Russia is Eurasia (Europe and Asia).<\/li>\n<li>Other countries with less than 200tcf include Algeria, Iraq, Australia and Mozambique with 159tcf , 131tcf, 113tcf and 100tcf respectively.<\/li>\n<li>Russia has the largest proved natural gas reserves in the world, followed by Iran and Qatar.
