Kit Sponsors at The 2021 African Cup Of Nations

Why We L👀ked Into This »🎨
Where are the 2021 AFCON jerseys made? How many are made in and outside the countries? Does this have anything to do with performance on the pitch?

  • The Africa Cup of Nations tournament originally scheduled for June and July 2021, is being held in Cameroon between January 9 and February 6, 2022 with 24 African teams.
  • There are 19 national teams with sport kits made by foreign companies while 5 national teams partnered with home-based companies. Of the 19 national teams with foreign kit manufacturers, 18 are based in Europe and 1 in North America. Though Football Association of Malawi decided to establish its own label, the production of kits and replicas was commissioned in China and Vietnam (Asia).
  • Germany is the country with the most represented sport brands – Puma kits 5 national teams; Adidas kits 2 national teams while Saller kits The Gambian national team (1).
  • Of the 5 national teams kitted by home-based companies, only 3 (Burkina Faso, Malawi and Mali) made it past the group stage and 1 (Burkina Faso) made it to the semi-finals of the tournament.
